Souss-Massa: a New Industrial Zone to Boost Agro-Industry

The industrial momentum of Souss-Massa has taken a new step forward with the approval of an industrial zone in Lqliaa, south of Agadir. The project, which will involve an investment of 243 million dirhams and will cover 97 hectares, bolsters the supply of industrial land in a region that has become strategic for agriculture and agri‑food.

Backed by Parc Haliopolis SA, already behind major projects such as the Souss-Massa Agropole and the upcoming on‑shore base of the Tiguert aquaculture hub, this new site aims to host both agri‑food SMEs and large‑scale processing units. Its location, close to the Lqliaa logistics zone and the major production basins, provides optimal connectivity for import‑export activities linked to agricultural value chains.

The zone will feature modular parcels, service centres and training facilities, creating an ecosystem conducive to the development of agro‑industry, logistics and processing. It fully aligns with the regional strategy to enhance agricultural production, facilitating its integration into higher‑value‑added value chains.
