Morocco featured in “The Deep Race” on M6, the new spin‑off of Pékin Express.
French TV channel M6 has just launched a new spin‑off of its flagship adventure series “Pékin Express” on its streaming platform, with the challenges taking place in Morocco.
Dubbed “The Deep Race”, this brand‑new spin‑off of Pékin Express is a race built on the same formulas as the cult M6 programme (one euro per day per person to move forward), but with one key difference: only a single duo starts, with time as their sole opponent.
For this adventure, the organizers have selected two well‑known French social‑media content creators, namely Studio Danielle and her cherished protégé Arthur Lombard, thrilled to take part in this special edition that will “immerse them in Morocco’s most stunning landscapes” and challenge them with ever‑wilder tasks, as presented by the show’s star host Stéphane Rotenberg.
“Welcome to The Deep Race. This is an immersive adventure into the world of Pékin Express. We’re here in an incredible place — the Agadir Kasbah. You will set off to discover an extraordinary country, the Kingdom of Morocco,” he told them as he welcomed the duo before the first leg of the race.
The first episode, which kicked off from the Agadir Kasbah before moving through the city’s souk — “one of the largest in Africa” — and then the beach of Imsouane, a surfer‑favoured spot midway between Agadir and Essaouira, is now available on M6+ and the duo’s YouTube channel.
Hitch‑hiking, meeting locals and blind‑tasting dishes, the two YouTubers were thrust straight into the historic M6 adventure format, whose 2026 season “Pékin Express: In the Kingdom of Dragons,” shot across Asia, has just concluded. Their next leg in Morocco will take them to Essaouira and Marrakech.
