Souss-Massa: 6 Agreements for Aquaculture Development

Six partnership agreements have been approved to develop aquaculture in Souss-Massa.

The Souss‑Massa regional council has approved six partnership agreements with project promoters in the field of aquaculture development.

With a total cost of 88 million DH, these projects are expected, according to the MAP, to generate 193 direct jobs – a boon for a sector that is already constantly evolving.

Council president Ibrahim Hafidi said the region aims to launch 24 aquaculture projects, covering seaweed cultivation (4 projects) and mollusk mariculture (20 projects).
