Agadir: Cable Car Experiences a High‑Speed Summer, Driven by the Influx of Vacationers

Since the start of the summer season, the Agadir cable car has recorded a rise in visitors. Moroccans, Moroccans living abroad and foreign tourists are flocking to experience the Agadir Oufella Kasbah from a new angle and to admire, from the air, the panoramas the capital of Souss offers. Report.

Suspended between sky and earth, the Agadir cable‑car cabin offers visitors a unique experience, with an unobstructed view over the bay, the port and the surrounding terrain of the Souss capital.

Since the start of summer 2026, this attraction linking the city to the Agadir Oufella Kasbah—an historic monument that survived the 1960 earthquake—has seen growing popularity, drawing visitors from all corners of the Kingdom, Moroccans living abroad (MRE) and foreign tourists.

Coming from Oujda, some visitors say they are charmed by the experience that lets them admire Agadir from the air. “The experience we had on the cable car was truly magnificent. Despite a bit of mist, we were able to enjoy a beautiful view from up high. Everything looks different; it’s an exceptional landscape,” says Najat, a visitor from Oujda.
