ANZA celebrates education pioneers in recognition of their outstanding service to generations.

On Sunday, August 2 2026, the Hajj Al‑Habib Cultural Complex in Anza hosted the inaugural session of the “Loyalty and Generations Meeting Ceremony,” a humanitarian‑educational initiative that reinforces a culture of gratitude and honors the contributions of men and women to education over decades.

This event was organized at the initiative of the Association Ahl Bilal for Development, Social and Sports Works of Anza, in coordination with the Agadir Collective Council, and with the participation of former students of Ibn Khaldoun Preparatory Secondary School and the Anza Gulf Rehabilitation Secondary School, amid a significant presence that included teachers and educational staff, alumni, as well as civil‑society actors and residents of the region.

The gathering was an exceptional opportunity to revisit study memories, as a number of teachers met their students after more than three decades of separation, in an atmosphere where joy and emotion intertwined, and everyone recalled the classrooms and lessons that formed part of their human and educational journey.

The ceremony paid tribute to a group of teachers who left their mark on a career rich in dedication and who helped shape successive generations. They are: Naima Ouzri, Larbi Abrash, Lahcen Ahlafi, Tayeb Limouni, Mubarak Foukas, Fatima Azraouli, Hussein Abu Al‑Waqar, Mustafa Ashbani, Jamea Idkhiri and Mohamed Ait Abdullah.

Among those honored was Professor Mustafa Ashbani, whose program slots did not allow him to deliver the speech he had prepared for the occasion, in which he expressed sincere gratitude to the organizing bodies—particularly the Association Ahl Bilal, the Agadir municipal council and the alumni of the two institutions—appreciating this initiative that embodies the values of loyalty and recognition of kindness.

In his remarks, Professor Ashbani emphasized that this honor is not limited to individuals but represents a celebration of the noble message of education and an appreciation of the sacrifices made by men and women in the teaching profession to prepare informed and conscious generations. He expressed immense happiness at reconnecting with teachers, colleagues and students separated for nearly thirty years.

He also specifically thanked the members of the “Blue Wellness” group, which includes many of his current and former pupils from Ibn Khaldoun Preparatory Secondary School, noting that their presence and initiative reflect the depth of the human relationship that binds the professor and his students—a bond that transcends the school’s walls and continues as a symbol of love, respect and loyalty.

The ceremony also featured the first official appearance of the Atlasin Club choir, a newly created ensemble made up of an elite group of alumni passionate about music. The choir members delivered sophisticated musical and vocal performances that were warmly received by the audience, heralding the birth of a promising artistic venture deserving of encouragement and support.

The activities of the first session concluded with a tea reception, giving participants the chance to renew contacts, exchange conversation and reminisce, at the close of a day loaded with multiple meanings of loyalty and gratitude. The event helped strengthen communication bridges between generations and reinforced the school’s role as a space for human creativity and the building of a shared memory.
