Agadir's Grand Stadium Undergoing Renovation for the 2030 World Cup
More than 70% of the current facilities are being demolished for a complete overhaul to FIFA standards, with an expansion of the venue’s capacity.
Extensive rehabilitation works have begun at the Grand Stadium of Agadir. The operation involves demolishing more than 70 % of the venue’s current facilities.
The goal is a complete restructuring of the stadium in line with the international standards adopted by FIFA, as part of Morocco’s preparations to host matches for the 2030 World Cup.
Technical teams and specialized equipment are currently removing large sections of the stands and old structures, ahead of the next phase, which will see the creation of modern facilities and an expanded seating capacity.
When the works are finished, the stadium is expected to showcase a new design that meets public expectations and provides high‑level hospitality for national teams and visitors during the global competition.
This project is part of the national program to upgrade sports infrastructure across the Kingdom’s various cities.
