With more than 466,000 tourists welcomed during July and August 2026, Agadir has reaffirmed its place among Morocco’s most attractive summer destinations.
Overnight stays in the city surpassed the 1.85 million mark, a figure that reflects the strong influx to the capital of Souss during the vacation period.
The mild climate helped draw visitors seeking more pleasant weather, especially against a backdrop of heat waves that affected several regions of the Kingdom throughout the summer.
Upgrade projects have also boosted the city’s appeal: road modernization, expansion of green spaces, and improvement of the urban landscape, alongside a diversified hotel offering.
This supply met the expectations of Moroccan tourists, foreign visitors, and Moroccans abroad, giving the city a strong momentum within the tourism sector.
These results confirm that Agadir is moving toward cementing its status as a destination capable of welcoming guests year‑round, not only during the summer season.
