SRM-SM Challenges Its Subcontractors to Deliver Higher-Quality, Safer and More Sustainable Projects
The first QSE awareness day brought together the company’s water and wastewater subcontractors, launching a series of meetings with all of the company’s divisions.
The Souss-Massa Regional Multiservices Company (SRM-SM) has launched a new drive aimed at improving the quality of worksites and enhancing operational efficiency in the field by involving subcontractors and economic partners in a unified system based on quality, safety, environmental protection and shared responsibility.
As part of this initiative, the company organized its first communication and awareness-raising meeting for subcontractors working in the water and liquid sanitation sectors. The meeting marked the launch of a series of events that will subsequently cover the various trades and activities related to its projects and field operations.
This initiative reflects an approach aimed at making subcontractors active partners in achieving the company's objectives, rather than mere participants in the execution of works. It is based on the conviction that the quality of the public service provided to citizens begins with the quality of operations and worksites delivered on the ground.
The meeting dedicated to water and liquid sanitation constitutes the first stage of a programme that will involve subcontractors in the water, electricity and liquid sanitation sectors, as well as the various services, works and specialties linked to the programmes and projects of the Souss-Massa Regional Multiservices Company.
These meetings are intended to create regular forums for dialogue and the exchange of expertise between the company's executives and its partners. They will provide an opportunity to hear observations and proposals, identify the constraints faced by field operators and share best practices, with a view to developing concrete solutions capable of improving working conditions and raising the quality and efficiency of operations.
The first meeting underscored that quality, safety and environmental protection represent a shared commitment between the company and its various subcontractors. It also emphasized that improving the standard of worksites requires the involvement of all parties in complying with applicable standards and procedures, as well as strengthening a culture of prevention and professional responsibility.
In this context, emphasis was placed on the importance of complying with occupational health and safety rules, adopting the necessary preventive measures to protect workers and safeguard facilities and equipment, as well as protecting the environment and limiting the impacts that may result from various operations and works.
SRM-SM is committed to integrating these requirements at every stage of project delivery, from planning and preparation through execution, monitoring and evaluation. Quality, safety and sustainability are thus being made integral components of the working system, rather than mere obligations associated with a specific stage of project implementation.
