CPDH Agadir Ida-Outanane: Souss-Massa Wali Focuses on “Impact Assessment” and Young People’s Economic Integration

Meeting on October 1, 2026, the Provincial Human Development Committee approved 140 projects, with funding totaling 8.632 million dirhams.

The wali of the Souss-Massa region and governor of Agadir Ida-Outanane Prefecture underscored the great importance of the meeting of the Provincial Human Development Committee (CPDH), held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in the meeting room at the regional headquarters. He noted that the session’s agenda went beyond routine approval and programming, laying new foundations for integrated and inclusive development.

In his keynote address, the wali stressed that the current phase necessarily requires a shift toward a project-financing approach based on “impact measurement,” while ensuring genuine added value and tangible results on the ground. He said that the effective success of the programs under the third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) depends on their ability to create real income-generating opportunities, while paying particular attention to programs aimed at improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups, especially in the education and health sectors.

The wali also emphasized the central importance of the economic integration of young people, explaining that economic empowerment through the creation of sustainable, income-generating jobs is the cornerstone of local development.

As a culmination of these directives, the meeting announced the approval of 140 strategic projects, with a total financial allocation of 8.632 million dirhams.

The wali of the Souss-Massa region concluded his address by calling for the adoption of a rigorous approach based on precise targeting, support and continuous monitoring, as well as periodic evaluation to correct course and turn available financial resources into tangible achievements. He urged all committee members to fully assume their responsibilities in building an integrated system that invests in human capital and upholds social justice and inclusive development.
