Agadir: ANP Launches Tender for a Frozen Fish Cold Storage Facility at the Port

The National Ports Agency has launched a tender to finance, build and operate a 1,481-square-metre cold-storage facility at the Agadir fishing port; bids will be opened on October 27, 2026.

The National Ports Agency (ANP) has launched a call for tenders for the granting of a temporary occupation permit for the public port domain, covering the financing, construction and operation of a cold-storage facility dedicated to frozen fish at the Agadir fishing port, on an area of 1,481 square metres. The project forms part of efforts to enhance the value of the public port domain and strengthen refrigerated storage capacity for professionals in the maritime fishing sector.

The project comes within the framework of efforts to develop the infrastructure and services supporting maritime activity at Agadir port by providing facilities capable of meeting the needs associated with the preservation and storage of seafood products, while strengthening one of the essential links in the marketing and value-enhancement chain for frozen fish.

According to the details of call for tenders No. 06/ANP/DPAR/DDR/2026, the project will be established at Agadir fishing port, with the provisional bid bond set at 20,000 dirhams. The bids are scheduled to be opened on October 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the offices of the Directorate of the Port of Agadir and the Region, located at Anza commercial port.

The project offers the private sector an opportunity to invest in refrigeration and storage infrastructure within the port domain. It is expected to expand the capacity available to professionals and improve the conditions for preserving seafood products, particularly as the cold chain is central to maintaining the quality of fishery products and ensuring their uninterrupted movement through various marketing and distribution channels.

Bidders may obtain the tender documents from the National Ports Agency’s website or collect them directly from the offices of the Directorate of the Port of Agadir and the Region. Bids must be submitted within the deadlines and in accordance with the procedures set out in the consultation regulations. The Agency also allows bids to be submitted directly against a receipt, sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, or handed to the chairman of the tender committee at the opening of the session, before the bids are opened.

The project reflects an approach aimed at making the port domain an additional lever for investment and developing services linked to the maritime economy, by directing part of these investments toward infrastructure directly needed by professionals—foremost among them storage and refrigeration facilities. These installations will help increase the added value of fishery products and strengthen the port’s capacity to support growing activity related to fishing and seafood trade.
