Taghazout Among the Top 10 Tourist Destinations Highlighted Worldwide by FlightHub

The Canadian travel platform FlightHub has ranked Taghazout, north of Agadir, among the top ten destinations in its annual “FlightHub Unveiled 2026” report.

The Canadian travel platform “FlightHub” has included Taghazout, located north of Agadir, among the ten destinations highlighted in its annual “FlightHub Unveiled 2026” report, which analyzes travel and tourism trends.

The platform describes Taghazout as a Moroccan destination with a distinctive identity, renowned in particular for surfing, outdoor activities, beach culture and a laid-back lifestyle.

Taghazout’s inclusion on the list reflects another shift in Moroccan tourism: the growing appeal of smaller cities and regions among North American travelers, alongside historically well-known Moroccan destinations such as Marrakech and Casablanca, amid rising interest in the Kingdom among travelers from North America.

According to “FlightHub” data, Canadian travelers spend an average of 15 nights in Morocco, highlighting the Kingdom’s appeal for relatively long stays rather than merely short visits.

In a statement to MAP, “FlightHub” Communications Manager Ayoub Hessar said that Taghazout aptly illustrates the diversity of tourism in Morocco, noting that smaller destinations with a strong identity linked to surfing, skateboarding and beach culture are beginning to gain traction among North American travelers.

He added that the platform’s data shows that travelers from Quebec book stays in Morocco at a significantly higher rate than those from the rest of Canada, making this market particularly important for the Moroccan destination.

He stressed that the direct air link between Montreal and Agadir is reinforcing this trend, noting that Taghazout has become more accessible from Quebec since it is located less than an hour from Agadir.

In addition to Taghazout, the list includes Seyðisfjörður in Iceland, Saranda in Albania, Ilha Grande in Brazil, Montreal in Canada, Buenos Aires in Argentina, Hong Kong in China, Tahiti in French Polynesia, Seoul in South Korea and London in the United Kingdom.

According to “FlightHub,” the list highlights ten destinations representing different travel styles, paces and energies, beyond traditional tourism rankings.

The “FlightHub Unveiled 2026” report is based on search and booking data collected through the platform in Canada and the United States.
